Questions

What is a class?

One group of learners taking your course together, like the spring run of a workshop. In the app it is called a group. "Classes at a time" counts the ones running: a class counts while learners or instructors are active in it. Finished classes stay, and don’t count.

How does the free first class work?

Sign up, add one course and one class, and teach as usual for up to 90 days. No card. You see what your learners struggled with and what to change. When you teach the course again, pick Solo. If you don’t continue, nothing is charged.

How does AI work?

On Solo you bring your own AI: connect Chalkenso to your Claude, and it reads what your class struggled with and sends its drafts back for you to approve. On Studio, Team and Academy, AI is included and works inside Chalkenso; your own Claude works too. Nothing reaches your learners without your approval.

What if we need more classes or people?

Move up a plan whenever you like: your courses, classes and history stay. Teaching Solo with a co-teacher, or need a few more classes than your plan has? Ask me, and we’ll make it fit.

Self-hosting? The local version is free for personal use. Schools and companies can add a license for their organisation, with the same help from me. About the local version
